The Ayn Rand Society, founded in 1987, is an affiliated group with the American Philosophical Association, Eastern Division. Our purpose is to foster the scholarly study by philosophers of the philosophical thought and writings of Ayn Rand.

The Society meets at the annual conference of the APA Eastern Division and occasionally at the conferences of other divisions. We also publish a book series.

Membership in the Society is open to all members of the APA (regardless of division): regular membership to regular members of the APA, student membership to student associate members. Members can access the papers from Society meetings as premium content via sub-stack. Non-members can access this same content if they become contributors to the society, by purchasing a $30 annual subscription to this Substack.

The society is directed by a steering committee. You can contact its chair with any at: ars@aynrandsociety.org.
